Here at Manchester Driver Training we understand that unfortunately sometimes people suffer with their health for various reasons.
In turn this could mean that you may have to take medication to help manage your condition.
Some medications can have side effects e.g drowsiness / confusion / stiff muscle movements / forgetfulness / slow reactions etc.
If you are in control of a motor vehicle you need to be able to react to all eventualities whilst you are out on the road, to keep yourself and those who are around you safe.
When you notify the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) of a change in your health or that you are on medication, you may be required to undertake a medical driving assessment.
You will normally be expected to undertake your medical driving assessment from a driving test centre or at a designated assessment centre.
The medical driving assessment is designed to assess how you control your vehicle in your current health condition and if the medication you are on affects your driving in any way.

Our medical driving assessment preparation course can be delivered in 1 hour, 1.5 hour or 2 hour sessions.
